The agenda for the full WBC Council meeting on 10 July 2014 has been published today.
The BBNF is agenda item 11 and the designation of the Forum and Area will be debated by Council during that item. The officers of the Council are recommending the Forum and Area are designated, thus allowing the Forum to begin the process of formally preparing a Neighbourhood Plan.
This is a public meeting held in the Council chamber and as such members of the Forum are entitled to attend. It would be nice to have a few people come along and see this level of democracy in progress as Brookwood and Bridley grabs this opportunity of planning our own destiny. The meeting will also be webcast, so for those that are unable to attend, will be able to watch proceedings from the comfort of their own home.
The previous date of the AGM (Friday 27 June 2014) has been rearranged to Thursday 24 July 2014. The venue is yet to be decided, however the location will be published here.
The primary reason is that there is no real news to update members with as the applications for designation slipped into the new municipal year.
The Forum was well represented at the Brookwood School Fayre when an additional 20 or so members signed up and some solid work was done capturing the views of local residents.
The application for designation as a Neighbourhood Forum and the Neighbourhood Area is due to come before Woking Borough Council on 5 July 2014. The AGM has been rearranged to after this date assuming the designation application is a success.
On Tuesday 19th November and Thursday 28th November at 19:00, there will be awareness sessions about the Neighbourhood Forum for anyone and everyone to attend to learn more about what we are trying to achieve.
These are public meetings and will be held in the school hall.
Absolutely all welcome.
